Flowers, in all their varieties make beautiful centrepieces, bridal bouquets, button holes and wedding cake decoration.

While natural, fresh flowers are pretty hard to beat – handmade flowers have their own unique benefits that make them a splendid choice.

Unlike many beautiful natural flowers, sugar flowers are completely food safe as they are made from edible ingredients.

Added to this, these hand crafted flowers are completely custom – you’d be hard pressed to find a blue rose in nature, but if you’d like one for your wedding cake, it can indeed be made.

Where sugar flowers really come into their own is in their durability. Whilst natural flowers will definitely die or wilt, handmade flowers definitely won’t. The will look fabulous for the entirety of your wedding, and make a wonderful framed keepsake for ever if you’d like to keep them.

The stone pillars at Syon Park, or within the beautiful orangery at Pembroke Lodge, there is no backdrop where a sugar flower wedding cake doesn’t come into it’s own.

Every petal will be lovingly handmade and placed on your cake at delivery to ensure congruence and harmony with the rest of your wedding.

With years of experience, there is no limit to the flowers I can create for your wedding cake.

I use both gumpaste and wafer paper to create fantasy flowers that serve as romantic accents to your wedding cake. Wafer paper flowers are especially wonderful, as they reflect and let through light in ways that no other medium can.

From popular flowers like roses, hydrangea and peonies, to rarer varieties like delphinium, all can be made in every colour imaginable.

If you are looking for a wedding cake that sings understated luxury, that is impactful without being loud, that is personal and bespoke without being ostentatious, I’d love to hear from you.

the FAQ

Whilst I cannot make every flower out of sugar, I make all the popular varieties with many unique ones too. Please get in touch if you’d like to enquire about a particular flower.

Handmade flowers aren’t charged by the flower, rather by the number and complexity of the design required for your cake. A wedding cake with a bottom tier completely covered in flowers is likely to cost significantly more than a wedding cake with a small spray of flowers.

If I have some photos to serve as inspiration, I can certainly use them to guide my creation process. The fun of handmade flowers is that they aren’t real and can be presented in a fantasy fashion.

Yes! Absolutely! You can have full confidence that your flowers that they won’t wilt, melt or droop whilst they are on your wedding cake.

At the moment, this isn’t a service I currently offer. Sugar flowers are reserved for brides and grooms booking their wedding cake with me.
