London Wedding Venues
Paris has a reputation for being the “City of Love”, but in my personal, slightly, majorly biased opinion, London trumps Paris for being a romantic city. Affectionately known as the “City of Dreams”, London is home to some incredible wedding venues, and if you’re getting married, you are absolutely spoilt for choice.
London with it’s crisp air, iconic bridges, historic architecture and just good old charm, is a wonderfully romantic place to get married. I myself have had the pleasure of being a London bride! Now, as a wedding supplier of ten years, I consider it a privilege to have delivered wedding cakes to so many beautiful wedding venues in London. Here’s a round up of some of them.

100 Barrington Road Wedding
I am so pleased to be a recommended supplier to this wonderful venue.
100 Barrington is a versatile events space in Brixton, South West London.
As with many other London wedding venues, the appeal of 100 Barrington lies in the architectural features. Boasting original brickwork, high ceilings, and exposed beams, 100 Barrington has all the allure of a warehouse, whilst maintaining a vibrant and modern ambience. Think minimalist chic.
It is a blank canvas of a space, and I’ve seen it dressed beautifully with wild and romantic blooms by talented South London florists, Blossom & Threads.
One of the many benefits of 100 Barrington Road is that it is a multiple event space. We took advantage of this, this Summer when I delivered this three tier buttercream painted cake for a fun loving couple, whose wedding was as cool and laid back as them.
The wedding cake was placed on a barrel in the courtyard, where the ceremony was taking place. Taking “Nobody puts baby in a corner” quite literally, the cake was on display for the guests to admire throughout the entire day, not just a the reception.

happy words from 100 barrington couple
“Wow, wow, wow you did such an incredible job on our wedding cake! The amount of comments we got were insane!!! We absolutely loved the mini one as well and the cake toppers were so perfect! THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!!! It was so delicious as well! You are sooo talented!”
BMA House Weddings
BMA House is a gorgeous wedding venue in Bloomsbury, London. It is a Grade II listed building full of charm and character. The historic building boasts two outdoor spaces – The Courtyard, and a botanical garden which make excellent backdrops for photographs.
I had the privilege of delivering this origami and edible feather wedding cake to BMA House for a fusion wedding celebrating the coming together of the bride and groom’s Japanese and Danish cultures.

10-11 Carlton House Terrace Wedding
{10-11} Carlton House Terrace is a spectacular Grade I listed Georgian Townhouse located in the heart of Westminster.
This stunning venue is as regal as it gets. Overlooking St James’s Park, you’d be pressed to find a Central London venue as grand and practical as this.
From sweeping staircases to ornate double doors, there is no want for detail at this venue. One of my favourite things about Carlton House Terrace is the amount of daylight it allows – just perfect for your wedding photos.
I am privileged to be a return visitor to 10-11 Carlton House, and each time is just as special. The above image at 10-11 is one of my most requested designs, and it sits pride of place at this City townhouse.
De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms Wedding, Holborn
The Grand Connaught Rooms in Holborn is a wedding venue that just speaks opulence. Every detail is beautifully crafted to pay homage to the storied history of the venue.
The Grand Connaught Rooms has a splendid art-deco interior. From crystal chandeliers to ornate high ceilings, it’s impossible not to feel impressed by the venue’s resplendent display.
I was thrilled to deliver this four tier wedding cake for a Summer’s wedding. The bride had seen one my previous designs and insisted she would have no other cake to grace the cake table on her wedding day.
In keeping with the luxury ambience of the Grand Connaught Rooms, I made a fondant ruffle cake with lightly gilded edges. The gold elements of the cake matched the gilded bas relief of the ceiling.
Positioned in front of the window and under the twinkling lights of the chandelier, the cake looked every bit as impressive as it’s surroundings.

“We had the best wedding cake. All the flavours tasted amazing and we still get compliments now about how it’s the best wedding cake they’ve ever tasted, especially the white chocolate ganache. We froze some and it also tasted great on defrosting. Contacting your service was very easy and we were very happy with the speed of replies. Thank you so much.“
HAPPY WORDS FROM DE VERE GRAND CONNAUGHT ROOMS COUPLE

Trafalgar Tavern Wedding, Greenwich
Located in the heart of Greenwich, this riverside venue is a perfect choice for a wedding venue. Trafalgar Tavern is a quintessentially British pub. With it’s cobbled patio and period features, it gives an authentic London experience in a beautiful, historic venue.
There are five available spaces for hire, all of which are beautifully bright. Imagine your guests enjoying your wedding reception in rooms boasting floor to ceiling windows, and enjoying the fresh air on the sweeping balconies.
Brides and grooms who opt for this space can enjoy the benefit of hiring any of the five event spaces. The above dessert table was photographed in the Nelson Room, a large, grand space just waiting for customisation.
This beautiful trio of wedding cakes with handmade sugar flowers and fondant details was a vibrant addition to the space and set the tone for a lively, fun celebration.

Smiths of Smithfield Wedding
This Grade II listed restaurant/bar is fast becoming a go to wedding venue for London lovers.
Located in trendy Farringdon, Smiths is the perfect venue for wedding receptions for both small and large guest counts.
Able to accommodate up to 600 guests, this rooftop venue with panoramic views of the City of London is easily accessible from many of London’s famous registry offices.
I created this two tier minimalistic buttercream cake for a lovely couple getting married at Old Marylebone Town Hall.
With simplicity as the brief, romance was added to this sleek cake with two large open roses and smatterings of gold leaf for elegance.
I worked closely with Smiths’ on site wedding coordinator to position the cake perfectly to complement the decor in the room.
happy words from smiths of smithfields couple
“The cake, the cake! It looked insane! I know we discussed it, but I only half knew what to expect. From the miniscule piece I got, tasted amazing, too, I should have got a bigger one because there were lots of taps on the shoulder asking where the cake had gone! Thank you so much! “
Dartmouth House Wedding, Mayfair
Here is another venue that I’m privileged to be a recommended supplier to. I really don’t want to say I’ve got a favourite, but oh, my! Dartmouth House is an incredible venue. As if being situated in iconic Mayfair isn’t enough, the mansion has the most quietly regal interior that you could come across. Everything from a double grand sweeping staircase to marble floors and glass chandeliers. The team at Dartmouth House really help make the venue idyllic. One of the most impressive features at Dartmouth House, is the private courtyard which is heavily sought after for summer weddings.
I was thrilled to design and create this wedding cake for a lovely couple getting married at Dartmouth House. During our consultation the couple mentioned their all white/neutral aesthetic. With only 30 guests, we settled on a two tier cake which would serve as dessert. Simplicity never has to mean boring, so I created a textured buttercream cake with painted flowers for depth and interest. Alaa & Attila were a couple after my own heart, and selected personalised macaron boxes as wedding favours. Their review below shows just what a hit these were with their guests!
happy words from dartmouth house couple
“We just wanted to say a huge thank you for the stunning wedding cake and the gorgeous favors you made for us. The cake looked exactly as we’d imagined and it tasted incredible.
We had so many compliments from our guests, especially about the favors which were a big hit too and your packaging made them feel so special.
We also really appreciated your professionalism throughout: from helping us choose flavors to the seamless delivery and setup on the day.
Thank you again for helping make our celebration so memorable.”
St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel Wedding
If my point about London weddings being romantic still hasn’t hit home, it should do with this iconic venue!
St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel has the honour of receiving the accolade of being named as named London’s most romantic building.
Having been featured extensively in art & film, there is no question that it deserves this title.
Grand staircase? Check. Exposed brickwork? Check. Floor to ceiling arched windows for maximum light and ambience? Absolutely.
I was giddy with excitement when this lovely couple contacted me wanting a wedding cake that was an ode to London. In wanting to keep the theme simplistic, but ornate, we opted for gold figures of London’s most iconic elements – a routemaster bus, telephone booth, a palace guard and a black cab taxi.
We even had the couple’s new surname in a gold underground sign for the cake topper. A worthy ode to London, I think!

If you’re looking at this post, I’m sure you’ve needed no convincing that London is an absolutely incredible place to get married. With scores of romantic venues, broad and deep in their style, there is truly something for every couple.
If you’re looking for a wedding cake and would like to discuss how we can design a cake or dessert table that your guests crowd around, that looks spectacular in your wedding album and that is talked about long after your wedding is over, please get in touch, I’d love to hear from you.
Until next time,
Jasmine
